Pam Sorensen

Pam is primarily a soft-pastel artist, who also ventures into watercolor, acrylics and oil. Creative since childhood, she studied art and photography at Greenfield Community College and went on to earn a BA in Fine Art from Framingham State University. She has traveled extensively, (working on a cruise ship for 3 years helped!) inspired by her very first Art History course and passion for photography.  Most of her career, however, was in Interior Design: 16 years with Ethan Allen, Inc. before opening her own award-winning design business, Pamelastyle.

Currently, Pam volunteers as a docent at the New Britain Museum of American Art in CT, since 2019 engaging groups of school children, as well as adults, with the wonderful art and history on display there. She operates a paint party/ workshop business of her own, Painting on the Gogh CT. Also, once a week you will find her painting with a group of artists from her church, creating a myriad of items for the annual Holiday fair. Pam is past president and past co-president of the Cheshire and Watertown Art Leagues, respectively. She has a Danish husband, John, a cat and a daughter, Karina, who is an art therapist as well as an artist.
